If one is in Las Vegas or Reno, here would be some teams to place a bet on to win the World Series this year. I put a few bucks on San Diego, Detroit, Anaheim, Boston, or Cleveland. A couple of good long shot bets would be Seattle, Arizona, Colorado, Milwaukee, Atlanta, Oakland, and, if you really feel wild and crazy, St Louis, Houston, or San Francisco.
Unfortunately, this isn't horse racing so longshots that could really pay off do not exist.
