Seattle Citizenry Votes Down Mass Transit/Roads Measure

In a stinging defeat for forward thinking leaders and the environmentally conscious, Seattle voters rejected Proposition 1, a measure that would addressed transportation problems in the King County and surrounding metro area over the next 20 years with a comprehensive proposal that was wide-ranging and multidirectional. This vastness of the scope of the measure may have been one reason for its defeat.
