On the surface, there is no protest music out there about the war in Iraq. Most young people are still listening to the mindless violence and drugs ridden lyrics and sound of rap, or alternative or modern rock that is mindless and boring. But if you look hard enough, there are some musicians out there vocalizing protests over the war and US government policy. But don't look for it to become anywhere close to mainstream ever. The youth market in the US and much of the planet is braindead and without a consciousness in many ways, but perhaps their outpouring of support for Obama is the signal for a change.http://www.yikesmcgee.com/home.html
