The Top 100 & 500 Country Songs of All Time
Like any list, there are selections that are subject to debate and where they are placed on the list relative to other selections listed and unlisted. I would have thought there would have been at least three or four more George Strait songs.

This Is One Dry Place !
Amazing Fact: In the last 13 months, Palm Springs, California, has received only .20 inches of precipitation. That's one-fifth of an inch in nearly 400 days. Most of us live in places where we get that in a matter of minutes on a number of occasions several times a year.

Warmest August Night Ever for Albuquerque
There have not been a lot of record temperatures set this summer across the Mountain Time Zone for the most part, but most months this year have had above normal temperatures. Summertime lows in Albuquerque now are starting to look like those in Phoenix and Tucson in the first half of the 20th Century, before the heat island effect became entrenched in the Arizona Sonora Desert because of urbanization. Might Albuquerque be getting their own noticeable heat island effect that can be documented ?

D. Universal State Health Insurance on the Horizon for Some
With the incompetence, petty selfish greed, and widespread pandering to insurance corporations by the Bush Junta preventing any kind of national health insurance coverage coming about, look for a number of state legislatures to introduce and enact legislation for coverage for most if not all state residents that meet certain residency and citizenship requirements. Here in the West, the states that might take these steps include California, Oregon, Washington, Hawaii, New Mexico, and Colorado. All other Mountain Time Zone and High Plains states will not get to this point of enlightenment anytime soon.
