The choice of Cheney to be the veep on the Bush team has turned out to be an enormous consequential blunder. His legacy is among the worst of all vice-presidents, even overshadowing such hapless doufusses as Dan Quayle, Spiro Agnew, and Alban Barkley.
Having Cheney as vice-president for both terms of the Bush Presidency is yet another powerful reason why the GOP will lose the White House in the '08 election.
