Best wishes to my oldest (and only) nephew on his 20th birthday. You have a bright and wonderful future ahead for you and your Dad and Mom have a lot to be proud of you in so many ways. Now, about being a fan of that NFL football club in North Central Texas, we all know wisdom comes with age and maturity...it will be a largely forgotten error of youth in not so many years...

The NHL Absolutely Get This Right -- Unlike the NFL and NBA
It is very unfortunate and highly greedy and selfish to have sporting events scheduled on Christmas Eve and Christmas Day. These are days that should be free of all work so individuals can spend time with their families and friends. The NFL, NBA, and NCAA have yet to figure that out. It is good to see one professional major sports league, the National Hockey Leagues, has. The NHL has a long history of having set aside these two days so everyone in the sport can get away and spend this time as it should be.

The Legacy of Bush-onomics
A giant daunting task awaits the next presidential administration as the aftereffect of eight years of the Bush Junta running the economy promises to be a challenge that likely will not be met anytime soon. The Junta has botched the whole deal and the mess is incredible. The consequences for all American citizens is enormous and long reaching. The quality of life, standard of living, and opportunities that existed before 2001 probably will never return.
