While the vast majority of the nation is experiencing winter weather and cold, one place is enjoying a heat wave: Galveston, TX. They have had five straight days of record heat. McAllen and Harlingen, TX, have also enjoyed record highs in the last few days. So there is hope for the rest of us that winter will abate someday. When it is this cold and for so long across much of the US, global warming cannot come soon enough.

Merry Christmas to you!! I hope you have a wonderful holiday!! We plan on satying home, I am going to make a ham and watch some movies. Tonite, we are going to midnite mass ( a snoozer)! and dragging ourselves home to bed after that and sleeping till 9 or 10!! Thankfully, the girls have never ever been early risers, so they won't even wake up early Christmas!!
Have fun, we are thinking of you..
